One Step Closer

Our Cylon Army has mobilized and we are going to be heard. Since yesterday you all have donated $420 to the Paypal account. Donations are literally coming in from all over the world. We have a vendor that is going to deliver apples to the NBC office in New York City: Big Apple Grocer and I'm still looking for one in California to deliver to Mark Stern. Thanks to the partnership with Lil Cylons and The Caprica Times, more and more people are hearing about our campaign and joining us. Alessandra Torresani and Sasha Roiz have been tweeting the links too.
Tonight the next episode (Blowback) will be airing tonight in Canada. At 10 p.m. (9 central) Twitter is going to be lit up with the #SaveCaprica hashtag. Join the Facebook event and set Twitter ablaze!
I would like to thank everyone that has donated and offered to help with everything. Your suggestions have been a great help. The people that have written about all of us on their blogs or websites have been great motivators. Airlock Alpha just put an article up on their website that should get us more attention. Caprica Times is up to date on all the news and events coming up.
Today in the U.S. is Election Day and hopefully all of us that can are going to go out and vote. Let your voices be heard in the polls just like we are telling the television industry what we want to be watching. Strength in numbers for everything.

So Say We All

  1. Thanks for this!

One other thing the producers need -- along with the apples -- is a piece of advice.

The #1 reason their ratings are hurting? As much as we love CAPRICA, it is the single unhappiest television series on-air right now. Whether they like it or not, the creators need to infuse a happy scene here, a happy ending there... some warmth, optimism, and lightness. Even BSG, as dark as it could be, had all of those elements from time to time. Not so much so CAPRICA.

So, please, CAPRICAN creators. Try to make us smile from time to time.

  2. We Support This. Is there anything in addition to apples that we can chuck at the network?

  3. I gave 20 yesterday... wish I could get money into my paypal faster I'd give more.

  4. You're truly awesome for getting all this started and organized. I'm trying to direct people here through my blog as well - http://wp.me/p1aatr-cS. Here's an idea - can we get a battalion of cylons to deliver the apples? Also, I could use your help with something. I would like to create an audio montage for my podcast of fans talking about why Caprica matters - something that could be used to generate publicity on the web. The link above explains how fans can get involved and any publicity you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Keep up the good fight!

  5. Posted a banner on Caprica TV, hoping at least some of the people googling for "Caprica cancelled" and landing there will see it and find their way here.

I was wondering if you were maybe considering sending a few boxes directly to the media to alert them to the campaign (if there is enough money). We're probably not as interesting to Variety and THR as the Jericho fans were when they sent nuts to them, but maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to find an outlet (newspaper, magazine, talk show...) to not only let *them* know about the campaign, but also to let Syfy, NBC and whoever might be interested in picking up the show that we're capable of drumming up some media interest.

Either way, thanks for doing this - great seeing that hope isn't in short supply for a change - and let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Email is capricatv@gmail.com.
